The HillsOnWheels guide

Good journeys
need good ground.

Everything you need to know about travelling with HillsOnWheels, shopping from our mountain makers, and helping protect the landscapes and communities that make Uttarakhand worth visiting.

About Us

Travel with care.

HillsOnWheels connects curious travellers with the forests, food, craft, stories and people of Uttarakhand. We design slower mountain experiences and gather small-batch goods from local growers, makers and kitchens.

Our work is grounded in three promises: keep money close to the communities that host us, keep our footprint light, and leave each place with more care than we found it.

Contact

Come say hello.

The shared agreement.

By booking an experience or placing an order with HillsOnWheels, you agree to provide accurate contact and delivery details, follow the reasonable instructions of our hosts and guides, and treat people, wildlife and local places respectfully.

Goods

Product descriptions, availability and photographs are representative. Natural goods may vary by harvest and handmade goods may show small differences that are part of their character.

FAQ

A few useful answers.

How do I book a journey?

Send us your dates, group size and interests by email or WhatsApp. We will suggest an itinerary, confirm availability and share the final price before payment.

Can dietary needs be accommodated?

Usually, yes. Tell us about allergies or dietary requirements before confirming so our kitchens and hosts can prepare responsibly.

Are the products made locally?

We prioritise mountain growers, kitchens, artisans and small businesses. Each product listing identifies the kind of maker or source behind it.

Delivery Policy

From our hills to your door.

We dispatch available goods after payment confirmation using a tracked delivery partner. Dispatch timing is shown or confirmed with your order; seasonal and made-to-order goods may need extra time.

Delivery estimates can shift because of weather, remote routes, strikes or courier conditions. Please provide a complete address and phone number and check the parcel at delivery.

Privacy Policy

Your details stay purposeful.

We collect the information needed to process an order, arrange a journey, answer a request and provide updates you have asked for. This may include your name, contact details, delivery information, booking preferences and payment status.

We use trusted payment, delivery and communication providers only where needed to fulfil your request. We do not sell personal information. You may ask us to correct or delete information that is no longer required, subject to records we must keep by law.

Return and Refund Policy

Fair resolutions.

If an item arrives damaged, incorrect or materially different from its description, contact us within 48 hours with your order reference and clear photographs. We will review the issue and arrange a replacement, return or refund where appropriate.

Because many goods are food, personal-use or made to order, we cannot accept returns for a change of mind after dispatch unless required by applicable law. Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method after review.

Cancellation Policy

Plans can change.

Contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel or change a booking. Refund eligibility depends on how close the request is to the experience date and on commitments already made to local hosts, guides and transport providers.

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch by contacting customer care. Once an order has been dispatched, the return and refund policy applies. Any refund timing depends on the payment provider.
